Who Am I: dispersed dye

I have just done dispersed dye, another printing process where the places you want clean, you put a paper on, and the area around it is colored.

We began by doing a drawing which we would then cut with a stencil knife. The Adobe image is where we used the thin paper and the fabric dye to create colored paper, once whe applied it on, we then left it to dry on a radiator for around 5 minutes minimum.

Then we put the shiny side of the fabric up with stencil then with the paper, so the dye would end up on the fabric

Who Am I: postscard sized self portraits

This is the postcard sized portrait I did of the stone of mine, I found this interesting, because of the variety of toning, the textures were hard to capture with water colour, I just hope that I I try it again the results are better.                                                    

This is the postscard portrait I did of the headphones I found this one a lot more easier and more fun than the stone, this is main of getting the winding of the cables and the different textures of black, if I was to do it again, I would try and portray the plastic texture better

This is the postcard portrait of my book, this is another one I enjoyed doing because, I liked the original artwork of the book and I was interested in how I could do it in water colour. If I was to do it again I would try and do the toning a lot better in the faces

This is the postcard portrait of monkey, by then I quite used to using the monkey. Even though I have used him a lot in brief, I did find it difficult to get the right colors, this mainly comes with my lack of experience with water colours

Below are the attempts I did for the postcard portraits in graphite pencil, mine included my; monkey, my gaming controller, a phone, a pair of headphones, and a stone, these were the first five images I did for my brief, all I would change next time would the the detail and texture I put into them, especially for the monkey and the stone.

Who Am I:Scanography

This Love Using a computer scanner we, scanned certain objects, we did a preview changing the durations it took to scan, to see how the detailed,, and also changing the points of interest. Afterward put them in Photoshop putting them under filters, the one I used  the most was Ligurian, overall, I think I could have done better in this process, other people in my groups used, more flatter objects which we easier to scan and I personally think they looked better.

Even though this photo was not manipulated I like this one the best, mainly because it has got the most expression in it, plus the ilusion of depth that is made due to the slow fade out on the rest off the body. You also get the feel that he is sort of trapped. The way I came out with this out come was not fully intentionional, I thought it would be funny to put my monkey in a mug, with his head being balanced on the scanner, but what I came out with, was a monkey looking like he was trapped, about to go into an abyss
